Introduction

A millennia-old, influential, and essential language, Mandarin Chinese is now one of the major keys to global communication, business, and culture. With TFA France’s Chinese as a Foreign Language Program, you can progress from level A1 to C2 following CEFR standards, while benefiting from modern, structured, and motivating pedagogical support.

Our training enables you to understand, speak, read, and write standard Mandarin Chinese, while developing real ease and confidence in both oral and written communication. Through an immersive, gradual approach, you will also explore the richness of contemporary Chinese culture—its traditions, social codes, customs, and ways of life.

Training Objectives

At the end of the training, participants will be able to:

Understand and produce spoken and written statements in Mandarin Chinese that correspond to the learner’s CEFR level.
Read and write simplified Chinese characters while using pinyin to support pronunciation and comprehension.
Master Mandarin tones and phonetic features to improve pronunciation and listening comprehension.
Interact in real-life communication situations related to daily life, professional contexts, or academic settings.
Discover and understand cultural elements, social codes, and practices of the Chinese-speaking world in order to develop intercultural competence.
Develop linguistic autonomy by using Mandarin Chinese confidently in various situations.

Audience and Prerequisites

Target Audience

The training is intended for anyone who wishes to learn Mandarin Chinese or improve their language skills for personal or professional purposes. It is particularly relevant for working adults or individuals undergoing career transitions, employees operating in an international environment, freelancers, entrepreneurs, and job seekers looking to strengthen their employability.

Prerequisites

No prerequisites are required for level A1.
For other levels, a placement test is conducted to determine the appropriate entry level for each participant.

Detailed Program

The program is structured around complementary modules designed to develop all the linguistic and cultural skills required for mastering Mandarin Chinese.

Listening Comprehension
Objectives: Develop the ability to understand spoken messages in Mandarin Chinese across a range of contexts.
Objectives: Produce clear spoken statements adapted to different situations.
Objectives: Read and understand texts ranging from simple to complex in simplified Chinese characters.
Objectives: Write structured sentences and texts in simplified characters.
Objectives: Master the four tones, the specific sounds of Mandarin, and pinyin phonetics.
Objectives: Use Mandarin grammatical structures in communication situations.
Objectives: Expand vocabulary according to needs and contexts.
Objectives: Discover and understand the cultural, social, and professional aspects of the Chinese-speaking world.
